During a recent remote support session, I helped a client answer a question about a problem recording his guitar in Cubase.
Why does my guitar only play back on my right-hand speaker when I record it in Cubase?
If you make a recording in Cubase and the audio region looks like the pic above, then you have recorded a mono instrument (such as a guitar) in a stereo audio track. To fix this problem, you need to change the Configuration setting to Mono when creating an audio track:
