Connected with a client in the South of England who had a problem with an installation of Cubase 12 on a new PC. He had successfully used Steinberg’s Download Manager to install Cubase and Halion but many of his favourite Halion presets were not available via the download manager. In the process of trying to solve the problem himself he had installed Halion libraries for products he didn’t own and Cubase was now opening with ‘License not found’ error messages.
Showed my client how to access the legacy download section of the Steinberg website and downloaded the older presets that he had the licenses for.
Went into his VST Sounds folder on the C drive and removed the libraries he didn’t own the licenses for.
Confirmed that Cubase 12 no longer opened with the error messages.
