About The Founder

The Human in the Machine.

“A studio is not just a collection of computers and cables. It is an instrument. When it fights you, the music stops.”

I am Paul Andrews. I founded Audio Support to solve a specific problem in the industry: the gap between creative vision and technical reality.

For over a decade, I have acted as the bridge for composers, producers, and broadcasters who find themselves battling their own equipment. I don’t just “fix computers”—I analyze workflows. I understand that a DAW crash isn’t just a software error; it’s a lost take, a broken moment of inspiration, and lost revenue.

My approach is diagnostic and precise. Whether you are running a legacy analog console alongside a modern Mac, or a fully digital in-the-box setup, I apply the same rigorous logic to isolate faults and restore stability.

Founder Profile

“I don’t just fix the technology.
I help the human behind it.”

Paul Andrews Founder, Audio Support

I am a Music Technology Consultant with over 20 years of experience. My background isn’t in corporate IT support—it’s in Education and Production.

I spent decades teaching people how to make music, which means I know how to explain complex technical problems without making you feel overwhelmed.

2002–2005 // The Foundation

From Recording Bands to the Lecture Hall

My journey began in the early 2000s, recording my own bands and learning the chaos of early digital audio the hard way. I formalized this passion at the University of West London, earning a Foundation Degree and a BA (Hons) in Music Technology.

After graduating, I tried the standard industry paths—editing, office work—but I found them isolating. I realized I didn’t just love the gear; I loved the interaction.

2006–2020 // The Pivot

The “Sound On Sound” Era

In 2006, a friend suggested I place an advert in Sound On Sound magazine offering Logic Pro tuition. I started traveling across London, visiting composers and producers in their home studios.

“I quickly noticed a pattern: 50% of the time, we couldn’t teach because the studio was broken.”

Drivers were missing, cables were faulty, or software was crashing. I had to become a technician before I could be a teacher.

2020 // The Stress Test

The Remote Revolution

When the pandemic hit in 2020, the music world was forced into lockdown. “Audio Support” exploded. Suddenly, major artists needed to record albums from their bedrooms.

Because I had already been refining remote support tools, I was ready. I helped hundreds of clients transition to remote working.
