Service // DAW Troubleshooting
Stop your DAW crashing, stalling and throwing errors.
Crashes, slow loading, missing plugins, clicks and distortion — traced to the actual cause and fixed in a remote session, on Mac or Windows.
What it is
When a DAW misbehaves, the cause is usually hiding somewhere else: a plugin, a licence manager, an operating system update, or an old driver. Reinstalling or buying a faster computer often changes nothing, because the cause comes with you. I connect over AnyDesk while we talk on WhatsApp, Zoom or Google Meet, and you watch as I track it down.
I read the crash reports and logs, test plugins and licences one at a time, and check your settings against your hardware. Once the cause is fixed, I show you what went wrong, so you’ll recognise it if it ever comes back.
Who it’s for
Anyone whose DAW has stopped being reliable. Typical problems I fix:
- The DAW crashes on launch, when opening a project, or during an edit
- Projects take minutes to load, or the DAW hangs
- Plugins are missing, won’t authorise, or are stuck in demo mode
- CPU overload warnings, clicks, pops or distortion
- Things that stopped working after a macOS or Windows update
I work with Logic Pro, Cubase, Pro Tools, Ableton Live, FL Studio, Reaper and Cakewalk, and with plugins from Native Instruments, Waves, Spitfire, Toontrack, Universal Audio and others.
This service covers software, settings and system problems. If your project opens but audio files or samples are missing, that’s DAW Project Rescue. If you’re moving to a new computer, see Computer Migration. If equipment has failed physically, it needs a repair workshop. In the UK, I recommend Matt at Logarhythm, who handles the hardware repairs featured on this site.
