Spoke to a recording artist and her manager about recommendations I would make for her new live rig for an upcoming series of gigs. I had previously helped them with some technical problems transferring session files from Pro Tools to Cubase. She needed a solution to play her backing tracks on stage.
She planned to run the songs from Cubase and have different elements of the backing track to be removable when she had other musicians performing with her, but to be able to run the set as a solo performance as well.
We discussed her requirements and I recommended the iConnectivity PlayAudio12 as an audio interface that was designed to do exactly what she needed.
